I met Haley a couple years ago at the New Approach Jewelry School. She is one of those girls that you love from the very first moment you talk to her. She is a girls girl, a guys girl and every mom’s dream for a daughter-in-law.

I met Steven at their engagement session and knew instantly that Haley had found her match. I think Haley and Steven’s picture should be in the dictionary beside the word soul mate, because these two couldn’t have found a better match. Their love for life, music, each other.. they even have all the same hobbies, couldn’t be more perfect!

Haley’s Wedding Set was designed and cast by Haley and Steven from Alaskan Gold. The diamonds are Canadian and hand selected by the Bride and Groom. Even cooler, Haley is a jeweler so she had a part in making her ring from the very start. She sketched it out, cast it with her hubby then she began all the design details that is involved.

Cool facts about the Bride and Groom: They both are so musically inclined that they surprised their guests with a couple songs! Haley played the electric guitar and sang while Steven played the drums and sang! I mean, coolest couple ever! Amber and I both were on a wedding day high after this wedding! Such a perfect day!

The Conservatory was a dream to shoot at! The venue has so many gorgeous photo ops and has both a Bridal Suite and a Groom Suite on different levels so the two are kept out of sight! They provide catering, florals and cake which were all amazing! The reception was two levels and open so that guests seated upstairs had an amazing view of the bride and groom from the balcony.

“He was super sneaky and was meeting with my boss about diamonds. My boss tricked me and had me set my own diamond in the first ring! Steven wanted me to be able to design my own ring so he proposed with the diamond already set in the ring.

It is a metal detecting story! We were out hunting at one of our favorite locations. He dropped the ring in the grass and called me over, claiming to have found a signal. I pulled the ring out of the grass and he knelt down with me to propose!”

This is one of my favorite backdrops! So simple, yet romantic!

There was not a dry eye in the room during this sweet moment of prayer between Haley’s family and friends. Her dad’s muffled tears made it hard for us all to compose ourselves!
