Sweet Family Portraits in Charleston Park

Jay and Laura just celebrated their 10 year anniversary in October so naturally, they wanted to have a family portrait session! They have two of the sweetest little girls I’ve ever met and I couldn’t wait to work with them here in Charleston. We all met up at Hampton Park, one of the prettiest parks in Charleston, for their family portraits. It was a beautiful day – and an even more beautiful session. I’m so happy we could bring their new portraits to life!

Jay, Laura, and the girls showed up to their portraits looking like models! Laura had a beautiful pink and white gown and the two girls were in sweet pink dresses to match. I LOVED all of the pink together against the greens of Hampton Park! Laura did great explaining her girls’ little personalities in their questionnaire so I couldn’t wait to get to know them. Liz & Callie showed up to their session with the most beautiful paintings as a gift for me – think rainbow colors and glitter! It was the absolute sweetest thing – and they are still hanging on my refrigerator. I smile every time I look at them. Laura and Jay were so patient and kind with  them throughout the whole session. 

As a family, they LOVE having dance parties at home so it was only fitting that we ended their session under a giant angel oak tree dancing to one of the girls’ favorites, Barbara Ann. Jay was totally prepared, bringing along a portable speaker. The girls have a very well rounded taste in music and they know every single word! It was so much fun to watch. This family definitely knows how to have fun together.
