I never in a million years dreamed that I would be called words such as influencer, leader, motivational, or inspiring.
I used to feel so lost. I was depressed. I was tired. I was broken. Have you ever been there? Where you feel stuck? Like nothing you do is enough? Like you are not enough? Sadly, I have, and it lasted many, many years.
Then, something happened. I went from broken to trying to stay positive, striving to see the bright side of everything. Man. It was tough. I had to go through some major changes internally and with my faith.
Because God put me in the company I am with now, He has shown me so much Grace. Through His grace, I have found that I can be at peace with so many things. Everything I thought I was before did not define WHO I truly was. His guidance through the people He placed in my life has given me so much strength to keep on in faith. By surrounding yourself with God centered people, you always have His word as a shield for protection or a sword, ready to attack any downfalls or demons you may face.
When all odds are against you and you feel you are fighting an uphill battle, lift your eyes above and PRAY. It is okay to ask Him for help in all situations! That is exactly where I was before Senegence. Ask and you shall receive. God listened. He guided me. Where He guides, He provides!
The enemy is always lurking. When you are on the brink of something amazing, he is there waiting to pounce. When that happens, you have to be strong. You have to tell him to go away. Your strength comes from a much higher power.
Like Rick Warren says: “Little lessons lead to BIG successes!” Does this not hold true? Sometimes in dry spells in life, when things just don’t add up, or you feel you will never see the light at the end of the tunnel, you have to have faith. You have to open your ears and your heart and listen. I was talking to a friend earlier and she has been struggling with some things lately. She lifted her eyes and prayed. In that moment, her daughter asked her to turn the radio up to a song they hadn’t heard. God, in that very moment, answered her prayer. And, by sending the lyrics to myself and another friend, she spread His love and hope for each of us. We are all in different phases but the lyrics to that song touched us in a way that will help us fight our current battles.
He has a plan! For some reason, the following scripture just keeps coming up. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11. So much that it started to really get weird, lol. I can actually trace this little sign from above clear back to August of 2016! I had no clue He would use that scripture to guide me. Have you ever had a phrase consistently pop up everywhere you looked? Maybe it is a song you have heard? Or maybe a set of numbers you see. These numbers consistently pop up for me: 324. I decided to look it up in the bible just now after allllll these years of seeing them and this is what I found: “When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.” Proverbs 3:24. And guess what, I have horrible issues sleeping. Nightmares, anxiety, and more! Our Father is ALWAYS watching and showing His love!
A delay is not a denial!! God is preparing YOU to be a blessing! The first thing God does before He answers your prayer request: He wants to get you ready. He wants to prepare your character. So when times are tough, and you feel you are spinning your wheels, know that He is preparing you for greatness!
What are some obstacles you have overcome through your faith? Have you seen or heard reoccurring signs? What were they? And.. what advice would you give to those who may be struggling at this very moment?
