Caroline and her family reached out to me about capturing new family portraits at White Point Garden, along with senior portraits for Caroline. I couldn’t say “yes” fast enough! This family, and especially Caroline, are such a joy to work with. I loved every moment of working with them all! Caroline looks so beautiful in her Isle of Palms and Rainbow Row senior portraits – and I can’t wait for you to see this amazing girl!
To kick off our session, I met with the Hitt family at White Point Garden. They were traveling into Charleston for their family vacation and wanted to capture some portraits while in town. I LOVE the idea of doing family photos where you travel – I think it’s a beautiful way to document your trip and family at the same time. Caroline and her family even got to welcome their Grandma for the first portion of their session, too. How amazing, right? I loved documenting her with her granddaughters!
After we captured new family photos, Caroline, her mother and her grandmother all went with me down to Rainbow Row. It was the first location we wanted to use for her senior portraits. While we were exploring the area and finding the perfect pops of color for her portraits, I heard about all of the amazing things Caroline is up to. She is super busy – playing volleyball, basketball, and the violin! I always love getting to chat with seniors about their interests during our portraits together. It’s a great way to help them open up and feel more at ease… although Caroline was a natural!
She looked amazing in her portraits with a simple white gown for the downtown Rainbow Row senior portraits. It really stood out perfectly against the pastel colors and greenery of downtown Charleston. Not to mention her hair is simply beautiful! She kept it in a braid for the first part of her session and then took it down – and her hair is SO gorgeous!!! It was stunning.
To end her session, we headed to Isle of Palms. It was the perfect spot to capture those beautiful cotton candy skies and see Caroline somewhere she loves. I swear, she looked like a mermaid sitting on the driftwood what we found!! So beautiful. I also just loved seeing her with her mom. Crystal made the entire evening so perfect for Caroline (and me). She was so calming, reassuring, and truly enjoyed being in the moment. Crystal even captured some behind the scenes video that I shared with my own momma. It was a special evening all around.
Congratulations, Caroline. I know you’re going to do truly great things in this world and I’m so thankful that you asked me to capture these beautiful senior portraits for you around Charleston and Isle of Palms! It was the perfect evening.
