Romantic Engagement Portraits in Charleston SC

Kiara and Dylan are a new KBP couple! For their engagement session, they drove down from Charlotte, NC to the Historic District in Downtown Charleston. They were amazing and made the drive down super early that morning so we could beat the busy streets – and so they still had the rest of the day to explore Charleston. Kiara and Dylan also picked the perfect time of year for their Charleston session: jasmine season! The scent is just heavenly, and it was amazing the morning of their session! I’m so happy everything fell into place for their portraits. 

Their Love Story

Kiara and Dylan met in college. When I asked if she knew if he was going to propose, she said she had an idea as they had tried on engagement rings prior but had no idea when it was coming.  Dylan ended up proposing alongside he and Kiara’s fur baby, Louie, during a hike together at the Latta Nature Preserve in Huntersville, NC. It was the perfect engagement for them and really celebrated so many of the things they love: their pup, nature, and being together!

When Kiara and Dylan arrived, I knew we were going to have a great session. They both looked amazing – and like I said, we’d already planned the perfect time for their portraits. Kiara dressed in white, but we found ways to incorporate her favorite color (pink!) as much as possible. It also happens to be my favorite color, so it was no hard task!

During their session, she showed me some of the flowers she’s planning for their wedding day, and it made my pink loving heart so happy!! She and Dylan are toying with asking guests to dress in pink… I may or may not have already started planning my outfit… Congratulations again, Kiara and Dylan! I cannot wait for your wedding day!
