Beach Family Portraits in Charleston

I met Victoria when she was a bridesmaid for one of my brides at a wedding at Middleton Place here in Charleston, SC a couple years ago, so when she reached out about family portraits I was so excited. They were planning a last minute trip to Folly Beach and decided to plan a session to capture this special summer memory. I’m so happy she thought of me – and asked if we could get a session in! I was so excited and couldn’t wait to meet her daughter, Brynlee!

We met up one of the evenings of their vacation to Folly Beach near their condo. It was high tide, so we decided to go past the condo and head to Folly Beach’s brand new pier! We lucked out with the most gorgeous lowcountry beach sunset!! I couldn’t have asked for a better cotton candy sky for this sweet family!! Brynlee immediately wanted to play in the water. She’s absolutely fearless and just the happiest girl. I’m so pleased I got to meet her! She was ready to jump in the waves and showed no fear with waves bigger than her! 

All three of them looked amazing during their session. Victoria definitely thought carefully about their outfits. Brynlee’s dress was from Noralee & Victoria’s was Astr the Label. She and Victoria wore the cutest little matching mommy and me bracelets, too! I love little details like that – it makes your portraits so unique and all about your family. Their session was filled with so many moments of them on the beach… including when Dad caught a crab! Brynlee wasn’t sure about the crab, but she made sure Victoria touched it! We ended their beautiful session with sandy toes and a water hose fight to clean off. 

Thank you to the Crawford family for trusting me to capture these beautiful moments of you at Folly Beach! It was a joy to see you all again and I loved every minute of our evening together in the lowcountry!
